Because this sport is always desperate to make a "mega fight", even if it's created artificially. Inoue has business to take care of at 126 soon,and Bam needs to clear out 115. Pitting them against each other makes no sense at all.

He's fought the majority (4 of 6) of his fights at 115 since 2022 so he didn't really just move up. 122 makes no sense but a catch weight like 119 would be fair to Bam if he really wants that fight. Imagine the $ he'd get if he went to Japan for that one.
