Not sure Jermell will ever fight again, and sure as hell not at 154.

If he stays at 147, he can collect some hardware at Welter while waiting for a popular fighter to move up to WW - Garcia, Haney, or Teo.
    160 completely ****ed too lol

Move up and fight the fighters he avoided in the first place ? Doesn't make sense. Ennis is Jeff Lacy 2.0, they are not planning on derailing this fast ?

People saying he should move up is total bullchit imo
I understand the frustration with Ennis' career, and that's why some are calling for him to move up. But, the reality is that moving up to 154 won't automatically make it easier to get fights. The political landscape at 154 is worse than 147. Unless IBF makes him mandatory, he'll have no leverage and get lost in the shuffle. No 154lb contender will willingly jeopardize their ranking to face Ennis. First step for Ennis is to absolutely destroy Avanesyan. Don't carry Ava to get some rounds, run him over and make a statement. The problem is what comes after Avanesyan: Chukhadzhian is once again #1 IBF. If Ennis is forced by the IBF to face him, then MR needs to get creative.

He should move up if he keeps claiming he's being avoided at 147. He's big for this division and can easily transition to the next higher division. Why not?
