Who can blame him? Who wants to see Sandor Martin fight?

Devin didn't want to bet on himself financially, I see...

And it wouldn't have sold. Might as well put a Shakur - DLS rematch on the undercard. Similar level of value there.

Would it have sold if they promoted it as a sleep aid? Called it "Battle for the ZZZs" on the Promo Posters.

Bwahahah sued for what? Are you one of the idiots that’s of the belief the bookmakers can sue garcia for their money back and Haney can sue for “loss of future earnings”? Y’all are so daft it’s funny. You do realize rygar isn’t the first fighter to pop positive right? How many lawsuits have you seen successfully tried from those? Give your butthurt head a shake lmao. So dumb

His contract eventually expired, but then he still insisted fighting on the same promoter/platform because no one is making him any offers. Not Floyd/TMT, not PBC. As a free agent, fights like Gamboa, Linares, Diaz were all courtesy fights for him by Eddie Hearn.

The Kambosos opportunity came and DAZN passed it on to Top Rank. Lucky for him the Ukraine war started. Otherwise, Lomachenko would have been the deserving undisputed title holder.
That's all general knowledge to people who follow sequence of events. Teo Lopez vs Kambosos wasn't even on ESPN. It was on DAZN. DAZN had all the option to carry Kambosos next fight, even more so that Haney was found to be the opponent, not Lomachenko. Fact that they didn't must mean something.

All of these fighter-promoters pretending to be players. Haney comes across as embarrassingly entitled and lame complaining about Matchroom not bidding on HIS fight.

Lou Dibella, who represents Kambosos on the US side, was in serious talks with Hearn back then, but Eddie kept referring him to the DAZN management. Hearn probably wanted it, but not with his own money. Dibella's option was Lomachenko, who he probably didn't want for Kambosos, but at least it's an option and he would have his mentor Bob Arum by his side, teach him the ropes. (Dibella on his own is inexperienced in making these types of fights, let alone in Australia. So he needed either Hearn or Arum.) The Ukraine war broke and everything fell into place for Top Rank/ESPN, and of course, Haney.

                    Exactly!

Haney said he should have bid on himself; so why didn't he?

So Haney is upset Matchroom didn't bid on him when Hearns is on the record saying that no network is going to buy Haney-Martin plus Haney isn't even signed with Matchroom so Hearns has no obligations to bid on him? Haney needs a reality check.
