Well, apparently Compubox is racist, because it had Devin outlanding or landing the exact same amount of punches as Loma in 7 of 12 rounds.

It was a razor thin fight.

I still believe Loma won but then again I never look at compubox #’s
I think it is the biggest fraud in boxing that never seems to tell the whole fight

Makes little difference they still hydrated 10lbs or more in 12 hrs, its the reason they changed the rules because fighters where fighting semi dehydrated which increased the risk of brain damage.

The only way around it is to have no hydration window at all, weighin right before the fight, but you will have a lot of cancelled events with fighters blowing it on the scales with an hour to go.

As its always been in fighting the biggest man in a fight has an advantage and when they have weighed many hours before fight time, people will go to extreme lengths to get that advantage, it can easily be like a 5lb or more weight advantage giving an equal boost the same as being the same size and on Peds, its the reason why a guy moving up historically does well even when they lose, a guy moving down historically gets beat and badly, People rant and rave about Peds but weight can actually give the same advantages, like F1 race cars little things can matter a lot.

They could still do a "day before" weigh in just to make sure both guys are on target, and then weigh in again an hour or 2 before the fight right before they glove up. That way if someone is 10 or 12 pounds over on the day before, its a pretty good chance he isnt gonna make it, or at worst he may be a couple over and the opponent can negotiate to keep the fight together or cancel.......

I am a humanist. When I see a problem? I say "lets solve it." What if we gave weigh in before the fight, with a window of 5 pounds either way? For example...

You have to use each individual round since that is how the fight is scored.

You can out land an opponent by a wide margin in 3 or 4 rounds, land more total punches according to compubox, but lose the other 8- 9 rounds and the fight.
