He's a B- fighter that somehow won 3 fights in a row on the road against better opponents and became the unified, lineal champion of the world. Everything after that in his career is just gravy.
Yeah, every B level boxer should be as fortunate. Good for him. I get the cashing out with Haney (got 2 pay days) and Loma (for another belt as well). Why the Maxi Hughes fight? Was that important to get him in the fight for the vacant IBF belt?

I wouldn’t go that far but Father Time is undefeated and how old is Regis Prograis again? I believe he is approaching his mid thirties. So his skills are on the decline and diminishing. The fact that he was dropped to the canvas in his last two previous fights prove that he is no longer the same fighter he once was.

This is the perfect fight for both.

No one wants to face Jack, he's a slick, fast southpaw, who is a nightmare to face, especially in the early rounds. Regis is a big name who will raise his profile and force another big name in the ring.

Regis is on the last chance saloon. Jack is ranked highly, on the up still. If Regis still had it, this is a great chance to prove it. If not, time to walk away.

Have a feeling it could be a bad clash of styles. Possible stinker.

Nope. Easy win for Caterall - this is a classic boxing trope.

You don't thing Regis is going over there for peanuts? He's being paid a lot of money to increase Catterall's marketability by having another recognisable name on his resume.

Then Caterall fighting Teo might make more sense financially than it does now.

no money in that - his name needs to be built up more

Regis Prograis obviously doesn't do well with boxers, he should be fighting a come forward guy to get some momentum and then get back into the mix. This is 3 boxers in a row and if he and takes a loss here his brand will not survive it.
when your 35 years old and you are lucky enough to have a brand - and if you are smart and Regis is definitely that - you are looking for retirement cheques first and foremost - sure he is getting VERY well paid to cash out his name or brand as you say.

Definitely don't want to see this, but happy for Regis.

Catterall vs Teofimo would be good, although I think Teo would be too much for Jack.

Huge fight for Prograis. A loss and he will be a gatekeeper. Interesting to see what he has left.

Why wouldn't you want to see this? Prograis has looked bad recently but does he have one more big performance in the tank? "The light bulb burns the brightest before it burns out".
