Comments Thread For: Sticking the Landing: Rafael Espinoza Dominates in TKO4

Rafael Espinoza landed early and quite often Friday night at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, dropping Sergio Chirino in the first round and again in the third before finishing off the challenger for a fourth-round stoppage win.

Espinoza is a bad ass and I don’t wish to discredit him, but this was a huge mismatch. Chirino was lost and washed.

i enjoyed the fight, Espi looked good when he looked good and that was often .....but he can be caught and he likes to mix it up which i enjoy so maybe after six months off and after taking the WBO from Rami they wanted to let him take a victory lap a fight that was meant to make him look good and feel good and next up a bigger challenge ? It is out there no cuts no drops to the mat, so now who next ? Espi is 30 years old i think, and with fights being spaced the way the are now that will play a part.

Espinoza looked very impressive. Chirino isn't a bad fighter but he didn't have the firepower or movement to keep Rafa off him. Those uppercuts and body punches were debilitating.

I'd love to see a rematch with Ramirez.

Any combination of Venado, Espinoza, and Ball.

Few clichés or tired, overused phrases. Interesting and appropriate word choices. Great writing.

Ramirez will stop him next fight. He underestimated Espinoza in their first fight. He won't in the rematch.

Chirino was awful. Zero body work, obvious haymakers that were easy to see coming. No plan, no nothing really. Just throw big looping shots and get countered.

Espinoza is a good fighter but last night was fools gold.

Espinoza would K.O Ramirez out in rematch.

Ramirez was dominated by Espinoza, the knockout of Ramirez was because Espinoza change his gusrd.

But Espinoza was clearly the better fighter.

                    Ramirez felt the power.

Espinoza is too much for him, much power, stwmina ans skills
