  • Hearing Jack Catterall will be fighting for a World title next.

My guess is it will be Sandor Martin for the vacant WBC if Haney vacates.

Only other plausible option would be Paro or maybe Barboza for some WBO interim title.

Is there any deadline for Haney whether to vacate or not?
Don't know why I can't have an answer to this when it should be part of the discussion.

WBC would be unlikely. Puello is interim champion so he'd be the one to fight Martin for the vacant title.

It's a business not a sport doe. Mandatories can be rejected. Haney can take his time and decide any time he wants to and no serious consequence will happen. But I understand your frustration. Haney can easily say he'll unify with Liam Paro, "Anytime you're ready mate." Case close. Sulaiman would find a way to sanction it.

I know the situations are different, but I don’t recall seeing you in the thread about Inoue declining his mandatory fight with MJ, and likely vacating. What are your thoughts on that or are you just on a Haney hate campaign?

Think you've got all bases covered; Barboza in August for the WBO interim seems the likely shout, will be interesting to see how well Jack does at the Co-op, potential to make it his home with a couple good displays.

Topic raised was about the deadline. What is it? It must exist somewhere and nobody knows when it is. Whether a mando is rejected or not is clearly a non-issue. The Inoue/MJ case has a date to meet and fight, September 25. They have until July 30 to agree.

                I'm down for either Catterall/Martin or Catterall/Paro

He’s never really been a big ticket seller but the Taylor rematch seemingly did very well. Will be interesting to see how his next fight does.
