If you ask me, I think this is damage control on the part of Navarette and his team, which included Arum.
They didn't get to be in a huge mega event. Six years since his upset victory over Dogboe of having showcase fights after another. Even dismissed the Shakur call outs. Then bam he got beat by a nobody in his last fight. And Valdez is his only fast-tracked way of coming back to heal the loss. That is if he beat Valdez again.Last edited by Bullrider; 06-20-2024, 01:02 PM.Comment

Navarette is not a must take fight for Valdez at this point. He already came back with a stunning win against a tough opponent in Liam Wilson. Only Arum and Navarette's team want this fight, I believe. There's no other meaningful fight out there for them.Comment

A fight nobody was really asking for, but I like Oscar Valdez so I'd love to see him redeem himself in a rematch. Oscar must've had his face buried in his hands watching the Navarrette-Berynchk fight thinking, "how did I lose to this sloppy bum?"Comment

Navarrette beat the little prince, Dogboe, and lived on that into old age. He fought a list of no hopers until the slaps are adding up. Valdez let me down with the toxic tea, but he is looking very hungry, like a man on a mission.Comment

Funny all these haters on this site hating as usual. Navarrete is anexciting fighter, just because he lost once against a guy who used dirty tactics, he is no good? Matter of fact, Navarrete should have won, or at least a draw. Anyway, due to wokeness and Black race protection, all these clowns criticize Navarrete´s style but he is way more exciting than boring Shakur and Haney. Both Afro clownsComment
