all benny fans have been drooling over his comments that he kicked bivols ass in sparing & now bivol says they both had good moments, so which is it?

i might have believed benny until he came out with the usual zillion excuses for a performance telling the world he had the worst camp ever with all sorts of stuff going on, but before the fight saying he was going to walk through his opponent and make a statement in very confident tones lol

if Ben beats Alvarez, he’ll have to get through Alvarez twice as there will be a rematch

the earliest Ben-Bivol could happen would be 1H 2026

Wait, what ? Benavidez just recently stepped in the LHW Division... He was never on the card for Beterbiev until then ...

Also, Bivol wins on points... He doesn't have the power to impress The Monster, but he will get it chunk by chunk outboxing him ... Beterbiev on the other would absolutely get Benavidez attention as soon as he connects... So, Bivol on points and Beterbiev by the usual submission ...

              Listen to the interview

And you realize there’s two types of guys in sparring

fighters like Ben use sparring to practice FIGHTING

boxers like Biv use sparring to practice tactics and techniques

Biv is sparring to work on an area and improve it. Ben is sparring to win in the gym

Unsure where you are from but in Southern CA, sparring definitely is a fight and imo its the only way to see where your balls are at. You should only "practice" with your team. That's why it's important to have a strong team. Iron sharpens iron.

I will say this though about leaked sparring videos, you never know how far into a workout each guy is in when they spar. And from what I've seen, some guys take pre-workout energy drinks before sparring as well. This is an unfair advantage.
