True what he says about sparring, it's not about oh, I won that sparring session. It's about trying things out.

I don't think Benavidez beats Beterbiev or Bivol, but he's game, tough, and also limited.

I will say this though about leaked sparring videos, you never know how far into a workout each guy is in when they spar. And from what I've seen, some guys take pre-workout energy drinks before sparring as well. This is an unfair advantage.
      southern CA

      Mexican mentality is different

you will have regular gym wars training with Mexicans

      Mayweather said it best

need some training on the West Coast because these Mexican fighters will push you

      La Raza is hard sparring

Bivol always humble and respectful. Keeps the aggressivity for the ring.

Lol I was being sarcastic. Good points.

Benavidez knows he can't beat the two Russians - he found out on Saturday he isn't big and powerful enough to bully either of them. That's why he said straight away he's going back down to 168.

I like Benavidez, I agree with Rachel Aylett's point that he saw he wasn't ready to compete with Bivol and Beterbiev, so he is staying at super-middleweight. But that is fair enough, in my book. A fighter has a perfect right to fight at the weight that is best for him. I think Loma, for example, is fighting one division too high for his body, and I wish he would go back down - he would be unbeatable.

Amusing to see people read Benavidez's mind. Benavidez, man has no legacy fight(s). Is 27 and at the peak of his physical prowess. One excursion into LHW against a senior citizen. Fanboyz and the likes of Paulie M. (who reminds of an annoying minature poodle), claim Canelo is ducking Benavidez, as if Canelo, with another instance of 'mind-reding', 'fears Benavidez. In all of Benavidez fights, he has not illustrated he is a 'threat' to Canelo, in the least. GGG is more accomplished and dangerous fighter than DB. And certainly Bivol would make easy work of the over-rated DB.
