Comments Thread For: Stevenson Is The New Lomachenko - None Of The Big Names Want To Fight Him, Says Malignaggi

Both Paulie Malignaggi and Teddy Atlas praised the boxing ability and intelligence of Gervonta Davis after his eighth-round knockout of Frank Martin on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas while looking ahead to potential "Tank" rivals - like Shakur Stevenson.

Don't be so sure that Shakur beats Gervonta. Tank has dynamite power and an underrated boxing IQ.

Tank should have at least waited to see Shakur’s fight before jumping into negotiations for Loma. Not a good look. 2 Champions, one undefeated and in his prime, the other 36 years old, with 3 losses. Tank chooses the 36 year old!? C’mon fam, that’s not fly! Shakur will be a Free Agent, and that fight sells, especially on the East Coast! Tank vs. Shakur @ MSG? That’s Supa-Dupa Fly!!!

Bill Haney, drop that belt, and make a real offer to Shakur, and get that Big Bag! Devin needs this one!

Why are you saying "the 36-year-old" like it ain't Loma?
Of course you choose the legend on his way out first.
          That's boxing economics 101:
Take out the legends before they leave.
The young challengers should still be standing later.

not at all. Loma is one of the greatest and on his way out. They both need each other on their resumes. stevenson will be around for a minute so the Loma vs Davis fight is the right one

Stop the B.S, Tank might not want to fight Stevenson but Shakur was offered the Pitbull fight and TR and Shakur turned it down and decided to fight Santos and Cruz moved up. TR is taking the Crawford blueprint TR had with Crawford with Stevenson, which means, take the easiest road and see what happens. As a fighter, you also have to take into consideration if you make a decision to take on Stevenson, is he going to come and fight, or decide to run a marathon all night. The only people who know that Stevenson is definitely coming to fight are girls in a parking garage, if you're another top fighter most likely Stevenson will take the NY marathon route....

Tank should offer Shakur 1 million, see if he really wants it.

Do we really want to see Shakur perform track laps vs Tank? Like he did vs DLS.
