Quite obvious Devin/Bill Haney don't want to part ways with Hearn who Devin treats like a long-lost uncle.

After Haney fulfilled his contractual obligations with TR, he became a free agent. And only TR made offers. None came from PBC, GBP and DAZN/Matchroom.

And because of their special attachment to Hearn they begged for the Regis fight, which Eddie reluctantly obliged, eventually scrapping his plans for Regis.

Haney/Prograis fight was on PPV because both guys wanted too much money. The PPV didn't sell.

Should move to 147 and win some belts up there, still looks like skeletor at 140. He could well outbox teo though considering how stuck Teo has looked in a few of his last outings vs boxers

Haney was exposed by Ryan and he still hasn’t recovered mentally or emotionally from that humiliating loss. He finally fought someone his own size and got exposed. He had already been given a gift versus Loma. He will need to do some careful cherry picking from here on out to prevent another soul snatching loss.

Maybe he can go back to Australia and fight Paro. Might be a big fight there.

He should face Martin though. He's the most proven, deserving contender in the division.

Glad you mentioned this seemingly insignificant comment.
Strangely enough, this could well be the fight Eddie Hearn is trying to work on.
Unification always trum(ps) mandatory fights. And I don't know if WBC would be amenable to it.

Haney is already complaining about how much he’s offered for this fight

At the end of the day it's the Haneys that would decide where to go from here. It's clear Hearn wants nothing to do with the Haney/Martin fight. Like he said, "Who's going to pay for that fight?" Which shows Haney is not a draw all on his own. Jack Catterall fight could be a bit bigger, and in the UK, but would the Haneys take it? Would they rather take a tuneup first? Who is there for a tuneup fight? He might not even get past a Richard Commey level. How about Jose Ramirez?

If Haney's not squaring off against Sandor Martin, I reckon he might go for someone like Joseph Diaz Jr. or Javier Fortuna.

They're on a balancing act. Haney is not a stable fighter and with a fragile chin. Any decent fighter can get a crack at that chin of his. Not hard to see them trying to figure what's next.
