Beterbiev’s power is weird. He has no 1 punch KO’s

I think it's to do with the intent - he doesn't set out to take opponents out with one shot (although he's probably more than capable) he fights almost cautiously while content to just hurt the opponent when openings arise. He uses the full array of shots including a heavy uppercut. I recall him hitting Callum Smith with one which landed right on the THROAT... That must've hurt like hell with Smith's windpipe, food-pipe and neck absorbing the full force of the impact!Comment

but I wouldn’t call him cautious
he lunges and can be caught on the way in
he’ll trade and take a shot to land one
Beter can be hit quite a bit
Beter has some of the best grappling tactics I seen in boxing. Wrestling is the biggest sport in Russia’s Caucus Mountains where Beter is from
He’ll frame his opponent’s head to connect with a short chopping right around the temple
then maul them to death. If Khabib was imported into boxing, it’d be Beter
Bivol mastery of distance and incredible parries from the high guard will see him to victory
As good as Beter is there are many holes for Bivol to pick apart
Beter will get lit up as he struggles to close the distance and eat left hook counters when he lunges in out of desperation/frustration
Bivol by knockout of Beter
I like Bivol’s straighter timed faster shots in this fight
Beter misses big with his looping strikes and gets countered
Bivol has a nice STRAIGHT right hand. Beter has been put on his ass by this shot in the pastLast edited by SouthpawRight; 06-18-2024, 11:38 PM.Comment

Beter has been uppercutted while closing the distance in the past
remains to be seen if Bivol will use this
I haven’t seen uppercuts nor bobbing & weaving from Bivol’s game

0:16 mark Beter gets knocked down by a straight right he didn’t see coming after being blinded by the left and missing his own counter overhand
