Both coming off losses, I'd favor Matias > Haney.
i got dev, but after his loss to ryan we will need to see how he reacts to getting hit

I like putting Catterall and Sandor Martin and Sean McComb in the tricky, slick, and what they call as a boxing term, cuties group. They have either beat favorites or came close. Not a lot of power but skills are certain. Fighting each other may not be very exciting but they can spoil the party of a favorite. The Hitchinson and Haney types are kind of similar. They would be the straight up boxer group. Probably 4-5 categories for all the 140 pound fighters with such different styles. Though different in ways, Russell, Cruz, and Matias, the pressure front foot swarmer's.

Right now there are 4 captains, there has to be at least 2 unifications for a captain to emerge. And Matias needs to calm his arrogance down 98%, find his core and work on somethings and re-enter to picture. He shouldn't have read his own headlines, he got a big head from that. A fun fight would be him vs Cruz or vs Russell.

I've been impressed the last 3 times I've seen Paro. I think he's got a decent ring iq and solid all around. Didn't seem like a fluke win to me.

Teofimo Lopez has the lineal, TBRB, Ring, and WBO world championship. Paro had a great win but he's just the IBF titlist.

Catterall by all rights should've been the undisputed champion but he got robbed against Taylor, then Taylor got stripped of most of his belts, then Lopez beat him in the ring for the lineal championship. So at present the IBF, WBC, and WBA straps are just trinkets at 140.

Lopez vs Catterall is the real championship fight right now. Lopez is the champion, Catterall is the uncrowned champion. Paro, Cruz, and Haney are just belt holders.

That's a good set of observations. I hope we get some great fights, champions and title holders going at it and contenders making some noise too.

This is in no particular order at all.....But I don't remember a better set of 140 pounders in a long time. But this may take a while for these guys to siphon out into just a few stars:
                  Teofimo Lopez
                  Sandor Martin
                  Devin Haney
                  Jack Catterall
                  Liam Paro
                  Gustavo Lemos
                  Isaac Cruz
                  Elvis Presley Rodriguez
                  Alberto Puello
                  Gary Russell
                  Kenneth Sims
                  Ismael Barroso
                  Sean McComb
                  Subriel Matias
                  Jose Carlos Ramirez
                  Lindolfo Delgado
                  Richardson Hitchins
                  Arnold Barboza Jr.
                  Josh Taylor
                  Michelle Rivera

I did not include the limited Romero, the worn Prograis, or the disengaged Jermain Ortiz

Same here. I don't believe all is lost for him, but now with no belt, nobody has a reason to fight him.

                      What do you mean, "Win"?

                      Paro clearly won that.
