Most of yall think Lomachenko just beat Haney last year, but now he's too old? I don't see much decline in him. He's never been as impressive at 135 as he was at 130 and 126. Age has little to do with it.

I’d expect Loma to outwork Tank early and build up a decent lead but in the second half of the fight, Tank will find an opening a take him out.

How do you see this fight going?
Hes been avoiding old man Loma for 5 YEARS. Still scared of him. Maybe when loma turns 40 he will grow a pair.
He will NEVER fight Shakur. He’ll just wait for him to out grow the division like he did with Teo & Haney. He’ll always fight for chump change.

I still see Loma kicking Tank if the fight happens in the next 4-5 months.

I don't see it, I think Loma still beats Tank even at this stage.

I disagree Loma's not hard to hit. I think he's very hard to hit cleanly, he just marks up easily. He's incredibly adept at positioning his arms in such a way as to throw his own punches without leaving himself open. You are taught to do this of course, but I don't think I've seen anyone quite as good at it as Lomachenko. You never see him throw a missed punch and leave himself off balance, for example. He's far too crafty and skillful to get laid out with one big shot.

Also, this idea that Loma will build an early lead and Tank will come on late is backwards IMO. Loma always gets better as the fight goes on. That's probably the single most consistent trait he's shown throughout his entire career. I can't think of a single fight of his when that wasn't the case. Tank's best chance is to jump on him early before he figures things out.

I don’t know what happens. It is no given Tank wins imo.

IMO Bob and Loma ducking Shakur to instead fight that bum Kambosos suggests Bob thinks Loma only has one more big time fight left.

I do see plenty of excuses being lined up in case Tank does ko Loma. He’s old, he’s shot. Etc.

Loma is much more effective vs orthodox fighters because his footwork is designed to get him positional advantage in an open stance fight. Tank and Shakur are both southpaw. That being said, he's fought good southpaws. Gary Allen Russell Jr, Rigo, and Luke Campbell. And he's definitely slipped some. It looks pretty close on paper, but we could also find out that Tank is like Deontay Wilder and shines against weaker opponents but falls short at the top level. I doubt that, personally, because unlike Wilder, the skill is there to see. But he's never faced anyone like Loma. One of the best fights in the division.

It must be "this version of Tank" as well. The one that fought Cruz and Romero might even be beaten by Loma.

BoxRec isn't always accurate....but if we go by their stats, Loma is slightly taller and Davis has slightly longer reach. What we do know is that mid-20s Loma was at 126 whereas mid-20s Davis was at 130/135. Not a massive size difference, but it's something that Davis will look to impose if Loma is finessing his way through the rounds. I know Davis is a counter-puncher by nature, but he showed against Martin that he's ready to hunt his opponent if necessary. He trapped Martin several times during the fight, and that's how he landed the kill-shot.

Yea right when Lomenchenko beats the brakes off him you will be saying the opposite.

Haney and Davis present different puzzles. Doing well against Haney doesn't tell us how much success Loma will have against Davis.

At the elite level, those small margins typically make a big difference. That "little" slippage from Loma will be magnified when he's front of someone like Davis: southpaw, youth, athleticism, fire-power. Loma is still more experienced, but his style relies on 'swimming without getting wet'. Both have the same punching range, which tends to lead to an entertaining match-up. Davis is gonna catch him eventually, and I think he'll catch Loma enough times to get him in trouble. It's a fight that should still happen because Loma is formidable, but I think the scales have shifted in Davis' favor. Hopefully we get it next.
