Braekhus made 25 two-belt unified title defenses, 23 three-belt unified title defenses, 10 undisputed title defenses, and 8 undisputed+IBO title defenses. She was Ring P4P Champion and she had wins over the likes of Anne Sophie Mathis (twice), Mikaela Lauren (twice), Myriam Lamare, Chevelle Hallback, Erica Farias, Mia St John, Oxandia Castillo, and more. Overall she had 17 wins over fighters that won a major WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO or lineal world title.
She didn't lose until she was completely washed up. Holly Holm moved to a different weight class the first time she was ordered to fight Braekhus and high-tailed it out of the sport of boxing altogether the second time she was ordered to face Braekhus. Braekhus even offered to come to the US and guarantee Holm a career-high purse and Holm turned it down; she didn't end up making an equivalent amount of money until years later when she beat Rousey in UFC.
Braekhus got the sport of boxing legalized in an entire country. She had to sneak out of her home at night to train at a semi-contact kickboxing gym, then she had to leave the country entirely to find a boxing gym, then she had to search even harder to find one that would train a woman.
It's because of women like Braekhus, Ali, Rijker, Martin, and Wolfe that today's stars like Shields, Cameron, Taylor, Serrano, and Estrada get to shine and make real money.
