That's correct. They're scared of him now that he's about to be 47.

Brilliant fight tonight from both Matias and Paro. They old adage styles make fights were true in this one. Matias abandoned his jab tonight. In this type of encounter with a guy who wouldn’t mix it up punch for punch, it was imperative for Matias to jab his way in to disconnect Paro’s rhythm. Paro, unlike others, wasn’t lulled into hitting the open target with anything other than point earning shots. He wouldn’t tense up, plant his feet, sit on his shots in order to force Matias backwards. Instead, he simply peppered Matias and waited for the counters. He never mixed it up with Matias.

What’s the adjustment? Walk in with the jab as your lead in. This way, Paro couldn’t get off first as Matias came in. Felix Trinidad was imploring Matias to use the jab and the follow in with the hook and then uppercut. Unfortunately, there is only 1 Felix Trinidad. He knew the formula, but Matias couldn’t execute it. He abandoned the jab and hoped his stamina was greater than Paro’s. Paro came in well trained. Had he not, he wouldn’t have survived the middle round onslaught from Matias.

Just a brilliant fight from two formidable boxers. We will be hearing from both of them in the future. Another learning experience with Matias. He finally met a fighter who wasn’t slugging with him. Back to the drawing board to make adjustments in case the two meet again or someone tries to emulate Paro.

Once again, caps off for Paro. Fought a brilliant fight.

Paro won clearly , the referee was absolutely terrible and should have his licence taken .You can't knock everyone out and this display of angles and boxing was only spoilt by the referee trying to turn the fight by consistently being unfairly on Paro's case from the start. .....disgraceful , but in the end to no avail!

I forgot what round it was, but for a few seconds Matias came at Paro flicking his jab out over and over, cat-like, and you could see it was messing up Paro -- but he only did it for a moment...

It was de****able. Wasn't he yelling at him in the corner: "You don't respect me!!"

On every break he also pushed Paro back.

Credit to Paro for enduring and overcoming TWO opponents in the ring tonight.

Matias has great defence, he couldn't find his feet and was getting hit clean. He landed his jab when thrown but not nearly enough. Granite chin but he was worn down by the 9th.

Paro was underrated by most. Boxing isn't a popularity contest.

                  What's with "Swipe"?

Paro won the title fair and square -- nothing stolen.

i honestly think Matias and his team have got some bot algorithm on YouTube against any negative comments against him, this guy hasn’t even got a mainstream following and I’ve never seen so many comments defending a boxer on social media before.

I wondered why the hype about Matias. A good but not great fighter, and now you saw.
