Im not even going to reply to that

Floyd Sr- trained Floyd in the ammys and for 7 pro fights total

    Roger- for 33 pro fights

I think it's safe to say Roger deserves more credit for making Floyd the pro fighter he is today

Well Mayweather was trained by his father and by Roger so both should get a little credit for the grooming.

I agree. Floyd see's that he has more potential and more skill while working with his uncle and the fact is, Floyd did improve under his uncles tutelage, although I have never heard Roger give Floyd any sound advice in the corner at least not in his later stage of his career. All I ever hear is..Keep doing what you are doing, we will get him in the later rounds. It will come..etc

But if Roger was not a key part in Floyd's career or training, Floyd would not hesitate to throw Roger under the bus and flat out say, I don't need Roger either, I am that damn good etc.

actually when you think about it Roger's advice is pretty sage. I mean if Floyd is doing his thing then all Roger has to do is tell him what he is doing right and move out of the way but I thought his corner work for Castillo II, Judah, Hatton and DLH were stellar. If I am not mistaken I think he told Floyd that Hatton is walking into things

            You know it too man
If he was such a great trainer he would have a lot more fighters than the 3 you mentioned. And Cornelious Lock?
            Are you ***in kidding me?
Who are you gonna say next
            the upset specialist Alfonso Gomez?

even you could have trained Floyd and would get the same results. It doesnt say much when you have a talent like floyds to work with

let him train a stubborn party boy one demensional fighter like manny was and groom him into what he is now
              its not happening
you and I both know it bro

you do realize how bad Lock was prior to him being trained by Roger right? You probably don't but it's cool I study all fighters and yeah ever since Roger took over Lock he has been a totally different fighter IMO

see this is where IMO Roger gets criminally underated

just because Floyd has talent doesn't mean he did this all on his own. If that were the case ton of other talented fighters would have great or even good careers but thats not simply the case.

and sorry but Floyd is every bit as stubborn every bit as much of a partier as Manny has been or did you miss all the make it rain videos he had or all the stories where he stays out all night at strip clubs?

You are misinformed because you said he was handed a polished product.

I don't think one good fighter you have trained will give you trainer of the year award. Roach deserves it because of all the fighters he takes under his wing and refurbishes them. I mean he changed Manny into something great. The gameplan they had for Hatton was brilliant. Roach knowing Hatton loads his left hook and making use of Manny using inside right hooks was absolutley brilliant.

                      like whom?

Khan? jury is still out and whats to say that he wasn't handed a polished product like someone mentioned about Floyd

Antillon? he has had 0 fights under him

it's also a good debate to wonder aloud whether Vazquez is actually a better fighter under Rudy Perez (also criminally underated)

it's also a great debate to say he added virtually nothing to DLH, Toney and Tyson

again so tell me what great reclamation project has Roach done?

his two best fighters where you can say he influenced are Virgil Hill and Manny as far as I can see so tell me since I am obviously missing the boat

here is a list to help you:
