Exactly what was I telling you just didn't think it would be Paro, who was the best guy Subriel had been in with so far.

That's not true, I never said that Paro didn't have a chance of beating Matias.
If you look back at my comments what I said that Paro would be a difficult fight, and did have a chance of beating Matias.
I just thought that Matias would beat him down like he had beaten down all of the fighters before him.
Paro's constant movement, holding, hitting, wrestling, and rabbit punching, were enough to offset anything that Matias tried.
Before anyone gets anything I just said twisted, Liam Paro, did outpoint Subriel Matias, in their fight last night, kudos to him for fighting his fight.
He did what he had to do to win, Matias couldn't make the necessary adjustments in the fight, and as a result Paro is the new IBF Champion.

I don't even know why some fighters put pressure on themselves asking promoters to do the fight in their backyards. Look at the Taylors in the UK, Katie and Josh at the top of my head. Their opponents got massively booed, and they lost. (It's a robbery in Josh's case.) Must be heartbreaking to their audience.
