  • Is Tank’s resume actually a little underrated.

Just been watching some film and I’ve noticed a bit of a pattern.

2017- Tank knocks out Jose Pedraza. Pedraza goes up to Lightweight, goes on to win a world title and produces a career best win over Beltran.

2021- Tank knocks out Mario Barrios, who moved up to Welterweight and goes to on to defeat Yordenis Ugas for an interim World title, which was the best win of his career.

2021- Tank beats Isaac Cruz by a close decision, Cruz moves up to 140 and defeats Romero for a world title.

2022- Tank knocks out Rolly Romero, who moved up to 140 and controversially defeats Barroso to win a world title. Now Rolly is complete trash, I don’t rate that win at all but it still warrants mentioning purely because Rolly went on to achieve more after losing to Tank.

2023- Tank knocks out Ryan Garcia who moves up to 140 (or 143) and beats Devin Haney the reigning WBC champ at 140.

He fights Frank Martin tomorrow, who I could definitely see winning a world title even after losing to Tank.

Whilst, Tank’s resume is far from perfect, he’s definitely fought several fighters on the way up, rather than just beating faded names on the way down.

Its solid he beat class fighters but it could be better, they can always be better, they talking now about they want Matias vs Cruz yet Davis beat Cruz with basically one hand, I think Davis can beat anybody at 135/40 except maybe Shakur, hopeful after Martin Davis fights other WCs.

When Tank beat Pedrazza - Pedrazza was top 7 TRBR, top 6 ring, undefeated champ with 2 title defenses. Tank was not top 10.

That win is extremely underrated despite it not being top 5.

Barrios, Walsh and Pitbull not as bad as his haters suggest.

I think it's rated right; it should be. Solid resume so far but at 29 Davis should have met a number 1 or 2 ranked fighter by now.

The weight clauses dampen them in the case of Garcia and Barrios.

I also felt Cruz beat Tank (close) but that’s a good win even though he looked quite bad. But he pulled through a close win with an injury.

His resume is ok. But no where near good enough for someone who’s at that stage of his career.

Pedraza, Barrios and Garcia all weight drained. Santa Cruz coming up and didn’t bring his power or chin with him. Romero is a hype job.

Cotto Oscar and Canelo are all weighted drained but you only say Canelo is and now Davis , I hate CWs but they do them so why slam others for it and not your favorite guys when they are the worst case of CWs in history.
