Canelo fans are on their knees with rosary beads praying to La Virgen that Benavidez loses to that he can stop making canelo look like a puss.

I’m not sure what kind of a test Gvozdyk is, other than the weight. He hasn’t done anything meaningful for years. He sure didn’t look the same when he came back from retirement.

It depends what type of Gvozdyk shows up. I won't discount him because of the Beterbiev loss but that inactivity was not necessary.

I remember him fighting the hard punching and capable fighter in Stevenson that he sent to the hospital in a coma.

I don't think is going to be any test, maybe the first couple of rounds and benavidez will take over.

If Gvozdyk can come in even 75% of what he was against Stevenson, Benavidez is in for a long night.

                This

Gvozdyk is a highly skilled, highly experienced, former world champion. I just rewatched that Stevenson fight and Jesus he can fight. This fight excites me because of the wild card factor of Gvozdyk. Anything could happen. He could be a shot fighter now and get stopped in 2 rounds. He could be fully recovered and in top form and come out and expose Benavidez's weaknesses and beat him by UD or even stop him. Or it could be anything in between. I'm a big Benavidez fan being from Phoenix myself and following him since his 3rd or 4th pro fight. I think I'm gonna lay $100 on Gvozdyk to win because of the log odds and as insurance. That way if Benavidez loses, winning a few hundred bucks would help soften the blow for me

There is that possibility. But David is coming on to his Prime and isn't taking any shorts.

Clearly not retired. Fought Beterbiev just over 4 years ago. Fought 3 times last year and won two by stoppage and looked good doing so. Put a prime Stevenson in a coma. Yeah he’s crap mate.
