Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis: The Good, The Grand And The Ugly

Three days before the biggest fight of his career, against Ryan Garcia in Las Vegas in April 2023, Gervonta Davis was nowhere to be seen at the public workout he had been scheduled to perform to help to promote the fight at the T-Mobile Arena, and instead was simply said to be elsewhere at the MGM Grand.

The narrative that this kid is some kind of global star is complete ****. I live in the UK and, outside of hardcore boxing fans, no one knows who he is. Fury and Joshua, on the other hand, can sell 90,000 -100,000 tickets in a stadium.

Tank might be popular in the US. However, the US does not = the world.

      WBA E-MAIL CHAMP.

Haney, Loma, Teo have hold more belts than this guy at 135. He never even "tried" to faced them. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

Tank is a little Mike Tyson, came from neglect and a bad environment, etc. It's a miracle he is not doing time in prison, but that is a good thing. Crawford is another example, but he seems to want to be a better person, not just beating the S out of people on the street. Tank needs good people around him so he can follow their example and get a better outlook on life so he can prosper after he retires.

You obviously don’t know how to read. Go back and read that post again.

I said nothing of the sort.
