Extremely good comment. You really boiled a huge part of what's wrong with boxing down to the very essence of the matter.
The only problem is that a lot of those best vs average fights are part of the development phase of young promising boxers careers. I'm stumped on how it could be done differently. Do you, or anybody else have any ideas ? I'd be interested to hear about them.

As you already know, the US government is controlled and run by corporations and lobbyists.
87% of laws tabled and enacted by Congress is created by lobbyists.

Every single American politician is a puppet of corporations.

What do you think happens when countries like Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia, Indonesia (Bali), or Colombia decide to change how much they charge US corporation for their coffee? The corporations that have an iron clad control on the most moral politicians on the planet will come-a-knocking. Suddenly, there will be foreclosures or threats or governmental interference at the behest of Uncle Sam. Farmers have lost their coffee farms in Africa because Starbucks bought out their loans from the local banks. After bribing government officials.

We overthrew the government of Iran in 1953 because they wanted to nationalize their precious commodity.
We invaded Iraq and took control of their oil industry. These are things that aren’t secrets like they used to be.
We have a US led war in Yemen with oil being the unmentioned reason.

France has the 3rd largest gold reserve in the world yet they do not own a single gold mine. Where France gets its gold is consistently at war instigated by the West.

So you are right, it is complicated but when you dig deeper, it becomes very easy to uncomplicate things.

We're definitely an oligarchy. It's disgusting. Our politicians consistently ignore the good and the will of the people in favor of corporations and the super wealthy. Political donations are nothing more than bribes. Most people don't care though , as long as the cable doesn't out and they can still buy beer. Shlt , half of them side with the super wealthy and corporations, while blaming those "below" them for their
problems. It's easier to punch down than up.
