Escalante is chinny and got starched by a shop worn Mauricio Pastrana, who had him wobbled one or two occassions prior. He also was nearly KTFO by Jose Hernandez on Telefutura. Though that fight was wildly entertaining and one of my favorites of 2006.

Regardless, I'd expect JuanMa would stop Escalante in 3 rounds or less. I like Escalante, and feel he does have talent. But I think he'll have a career similar to Jhonny Gonzalez more or less, where he's talented enough to compete with top fighters, but chinny to the point where he's liable to be KO'd at any given moment by any caliber of opponent.

He's obviously matured and improved since then.

            He'll take Juanma out.

Easy fight for the kid imo. He's too much man for Juanma who struggled w/ a faded blown up 118 lb journeyman.

              Escalante would Margarito Juanma.

              Co sign that bitches!!

Mtagwa fought the majority of his career at 126 and at 130 a couple times. He's not a blown up 118 pounder.

Wasn't he getting outboxed by Gary Stark jr untill he scored a KO.

He is not in Juanma's league.

LOL, no. He was kicking Starks ass and blitzed him in 2 or 3 rounds.

For about two minutes he was. I was at the fight and I believe warp was too.

It was an ass kicking plain and simple. It took Escalante about two minutes to get in his groove.
