He should have never took the cash, he had beaf until then. He got paid and didn't care what Ryan did. Give it back, if he feels so hurt. I bet that never crossed his mind.
I can’t disagree with anything Bill Haney said .Boxing is in a particularly bad place (again) But the peds problem is in all sports .Yes,combat sports should be stricter for obvious reasons .
No one will disagree that the boxing machine absolutely does not have the best interests of the fighters first.
There should definitely be a boxing wide pool of funds specifically for fighter health/dental mental care during their professional and retirement years.
There is enough money if all stakeholders pitch in. This is a bare minimum, which should be implemented.
With around 1500 fighters, you would be looking at $8-16M in annual coverage costs. ($5-10k/year/fighter).
This can easily be built into and spread out from fees collected for championship fights. Instead of paying fat cats like Suleiman for nothing.
In global shipping, we have P&I clubs, where everyone pitches in to give ships third party liability coverage. If we can do this vessels, why not human beings?
