Comments Thread For: Manager of the year Bill Haney Rails At Boxing's Mismanagement

As Bill Haney sees it, the ongoing fall from grace of Ryan Garcia has been the most disillusioning turn he's ever witnessed in boxing.

He's telling the truth. No one "runs" boxing. That's both the best and the worst thing about it.

He should have never took the cash, he had beaf until then. He got paid and didn't care what Ryan did. Give it back, if he feels so hurt. I bet that never crossed his mind.

I can’t disagree with anything Bill Haney said .Boxing is in a particularly bad place (again) But the peds problem is in all sports .Yes,combat sports should be stricter for obvious reasons .

No one will disagree that the boxing machine absolutely does not have the best interests of the fighters first.

There should definitely be a boxing wide pool of funds specifically for fighter health/dental mental care during their professional and retirement years.

There is enough money if all stakeholders pitch in. This is a bare minimum, which should be implemented.

With around 1500 fighters, you would be looking at $8-16M in annual coverage costs. ($5-10k/year/fighter).

This can easily be built into and spread out from fees collected for championship fights. Instead of paying fat cats like Suleiman for nothing.

In global shipping, we have P&I clubs, where everyone pitches in to give ships third party liability coverage. If we can do this vessels, why not human beings?

You only hate him because the Haneys just so happens to be black. Racism is something America can do without.
