  • Comments Thread For: Carrington Happy To Have Made A Mark On Inoue's Radar

Featherweight Bruce Carrington notched another victory at the weekend and continued to call out two-division undisputed champion Naoya Inoue. The cultured slugger showed no fear in challenging one of the greatest lower-weight fighters of the modern era.

I doubt he was there to see any fighter. He was there to get on camera.

Yeah, he just happened to be in New York to pick up a major boxing award and probably though'why not just show face in a boxing match in the same city for more PR, and it coincidentally had a guy who mentioned his name recently fighting in the division he is likely moving up to next year.

By the way he also showed up to Yankee stadium to watch the Ohtani/Yamamoto and the Dodgers play against the Yankees last weekend which made significantly more buzz in the Japanese news feed.

Monster would crush him. He didn't even know who TF Carrington was. Instead of calling for a guy at 122, why doesn't Mr. Shu-Shu call for El Venado Lopez or the tall Mexican who bashed El Tren?

Yea and did you notice that Judge did not say " oh Inoue is in the stands tonight the "reason he is here tonight is bc he wants to try and pitch against me before the season is over." Makes about as much sense as what Chew Chew had to say , like it is all about him............again.

Why would Judge say that, Inoue is not a baseball player lol. At least there is a chance these 2 fight in the next 24 months.

I like Shu Shu. He's real nice with it. However, aside from the obvious abilities of Monster, he's also very battle tested. He fought on with a broken orbital bone against future Hall of Famer Nonito Donaire, and he took good care of business in their rematch. He got knocked down early, got back up, dominated then KO'd Nery-- another strong, experienced veteran. He moved up and immediately took on Stephen "Cool Boy" Fuller, a highly skilled, tough, undefeated champion. He stopped him. So at this point, what can Shu Shu show him in the ring that he hasn't already seen and dealt with? Don't be surprised if Monster moves up in the future. Him flying to NY to see Shu Shu up close, let's you know what a serious person he is. Shu Shu spoke his name, and Monster immediately starts scouting him, spending money to fly to New York from Japan. With his boxing brain, he studied every move Shu Shu made in the ring, plus how he walks, talks, and acts. If he didn't consider Shu Shu as a future opponent, or if he wouldn't consider moving up, why would he do all that? So Shu Shu might get his wish sooner than he thinks.

Thug is just a placeholder for a word that rhymes with bigger.
I think I can guess which word you meant.
