You have to love a guy like Ricky Hatton. Hatton was a murderous body puncher.

The guy defined British boxing for years. The guy took 15,000 fans with him to America which is unheard off even to this day. That's the support Hatton had because the working class background and the character he was just made fans want to support him and pay money to watch him fight. And he was a good fighter aswell maybe not the elite of the elite but a 2 weight world champion and unified world champion at 140lbs and beating the number 1 guy at the time to win the belt I think he had great career

We all love Hatton but to say “His induction into the Hall of Fame cements his legacy as one of the greatest fighters of his era.” is a bit of a stretch.

Hatton got beat by Collazio, got KO’d by Floyd and got vaporized by Pacqiao.
Beating Urango and Castillo prior to fighting Floyd and Manny were no great accomplishments.

Billy Graham was a good wrestling coach. He taught the famous Billy goat Graham style of butt, grab, yank, punch, repeat. He taught Ricky the art of yanking on a joker's arms until they went limp and and came right out the sockets and couldn't punch no more. Ricky was one of the best British arm yankers of modern times. You have to go back to the days of "Fearless" Freddie Mills to find a better British arm yanker. Ricky would've done well in the bare knuckle era, because he'd get 45 or more rounds to yank your arms until he heard a loud pop, and your arms would be hanging to your knees after he got done with you. Also back then, he'd have referees who would make the late great Steve Smoger seem like Kenny Bayless. These guys would've let Ricky butt you into blindness, and would care less. He'd also have been able to use a good ol' hip toss, so that would've added a lot of variety and depth to his combinations. After a hard fight, Ricky also would've drank John L. Sullivan under the table at the nearest local Pub. This couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
