It's too bad bare knuckle didn't come back around while he was in his prime. Bean is trouble for anybody in a sport with no gloves and 5 rounds of 2 minutes each.

I always remember Larry Merchant's comment when Bean entered the ring on the undercard for some major show.

Bean paused on his ringwalk, and Larry said "Look at that fraud, holding up the show." I still laugh.
