Carl Froch: "I Will Be Gunning For Dirrell in The Fight"

I just want to see a fight and not a ***** boy slap party. Viva Mexico brought up a thread earlier bashing American fighters. And there are certain ones that I think don't cut it in the entertainment value department. I think Dawson is overrated and I think Glen Johnson stands a better chance of beating him than people are giving him credit for. And I wouldn't pick Ward, Taylor, or Dirrell over any of the other guys in the tourney. I'm a little bit on the fence about my prediction on the Abraham-Taylor fight though.

Don't be on the fence! Taylor will find a way to lose again! He's very skilled but something is always missing! It's like he's been cursed with bad fights since that gift decision in the first Hopkins fight! Which he loss and he, his Promoter and entire corner knew it, if you saw there faces b4 the decision was read! Sad thing is I'd like to see him pull it, cuz I like him as a fighter! He actually comes to fight everytime! Unlike dirrell, the kid fights like a coward! There is speed and skill in there too but he fights with fear as well and its why he'll lose this weekend! He won't be able to run his way to a decision! He'll have to exchange some punches to win and I'm not sure he has the heart to do it! Oh and youre wrong about Dawson, he's the truth! When his big fight comes, you'll see it for yourself! There is a reason top guys are not jumping at the chance to fight him! And he beat ademek, and that guy is a beast! You have to admit that that is a quality win! And he'll beat johnson just as easily as he beat tarver!

agreed most people start talkin a lot of change certain things about how they act when they get nervous and froch hasn't been in the worlds spotlight for too long so i dont know if this is how he normally acts but IMO this will do nothing but make him lose fans...and if i were froch (or anyone in this tournament for that matter) i would be nervous as hell this is one of the biggest events boxing has ever seen like i said before not a lot of talk is needed to hype any of these fights

It's well known inside boxing circles that Carl gets extremely nervous before he fights, he admitted he was scared before the Pascal fight and his lackluster start in the Taylor fight would suggest that the butterflies still lingered strong, i know nerves are all part of the game but in a recent interview he was saying "he'll feel nervous from Wednesday till the fight" which isn't a good sign imo, people think he's got some "massive advantage" being at home but i'd say that's only with the homer judges, he's the one who's gonna be under huge presssure with his family and friends in attendance alongside his fans who think he's some kind of "superman", i just can't wait to see how on earth Carl is gonna react when Dirrell dazzles him with his speed, movement and combinations, if he has no answer for it then he will be in for a very long night.

This fight has that Mayweather vs Genaro Hernadez and Adamek vs Dawson type of feeling to me. Everyone had the same questions for Floyd and Dawson like there questioning Dirrell. I really believe Dirrell has a chance. I have all his avaliable fights on DVD along with all of Froch's. I like Froch, but I think the hand speed with be a problem

I think Dirrell getting tagged will show more than Froch getting hit. Anyone can hit Froch that's common knowledge, but very few can take his pressure and punches.
