He looked pretty hurt and tired near the end of the fight. He boxed well and got the win convincingly but a top level guy would of probably stopped him

I don’t think he would fair very well vs Bivol, or any other top echelon 275 pounder. He looked spent at the end. I don’t know if he has the stamina to really get going in the deep end of the pool with the other players in the game at 75.

I'm surprised he got the win but I can't help thinking it's because Spider Richards, after a long career, is now firmly on the decline.

Yeah I agree. Richards who is a decent fighter but I'd says he's more off domestic/ European level kinda fighter who's best performance was giving bivol a competitive fight. But this was the first time Hutchison has gone past 7 rounds in his career so maybe that was a factor having to box longer than he has before and next time he might
be better prepared knowing he can do it now but I'm saying if he faces someone in the top 15 they'd give him problems if he gets tired down the stretch like that in future fights

British boxing is full of 175 ib guys but I would like to see someone/anyone shut Whittaker up. If that isn't possible then Hutchison v either Ben Azeez or Lyndon Arthur would be interesting. I agree with Boxing2695, Hutchison has been used to quick stoppages. He will really have benefitted from knowing what it feels like to do 12 hard rounds.

I don't think that is fair. I was convinced Spider would win. I think Hutchison boxed far beyond what I thought were his capabilities.

It was his 1st time past round 7. Might get better, might not.

Edit: I see this was already mentioned.

Who in their right mind would recently sign Richard's who is a middle-aged fighter on the downside???

If Yarde won't take the Buatsi fight then hopefully Willy will. There's a lot to gain with a British title fight & this would surely show us if WH has what he say's he has!
