Canelo has nothing to gain by fighting a welterweight.

Natural 154? Dude would have to cut off a leg to make 154,hence why he hasn't done it in years. Care to explain what world title canelo had at 147?

Bcause he spent 10 yrs building the added muscle to where it becomes old muscle, you cant go back after that, be like Manny and all the 135 pound talk was BS, not after 10 yrs at WW, but the point is their frames are off the smaller divisions which makes them smaller than a big guys for the weighclass., TC is aiming at Canelo for these reasons, if Canelo was as big as a Natural 168 guy TC would not be calling him out.

The natural 54 pounder who spent most of his 54 run not making weight? and fighting at "Canelo weight" interesting...

He's just "naturally" a big unit some people are like that E.G. Mike Tyson.

And no fighter in the modern era is a "natural" w/e weight.

They're all dehydrating themselves badly to make weight for advantages over guys who don't make potentially lethal weight cuts.

If Canelo was 10ft tall with a 12ft reach he'd still be getting called out he represents the biggest pay cheque in and around those weight divisions and legacy as well he has cement for feet...

“You could go with the [other] sanctioning body [WBC] mandatory and make the [David] Benavidez fight or go make this fantasy fight,” cracked analyst Paulie Malignaggi, who has long chided Alvarez for balking at meeting his most talented opponent, Benavidez, the unbeaten former super middleweight champion from Phoenix.

I agree with Paulie! Pick your poison! I suggest taking the BIG BAG from Turki, and fighting Crawford!!!

Crawford wouldn't even Stop Plant, not even Benavidez could do it.
Yes triangle theories always work in boxing. Except for that time when pac was able to stop Oscar when guys like Trinidad , Mosley and Quartey couldn’t. Or when Klitchko couldn’t hurt Fury but Usyk did. Or when Duran went up to middleweight to drop Barkley when Hearns couldn’t hurt him. Or when cotto was badly hurt vs Corley and Torres but canelo couldn’t hurt him. Or when cotto stopped Martinez but Pavlik couldn’t. I’m sure those are the only examples in boxing history though.

It's not an impossible fight but if Canelo doesn't KO Crawford it won't be good for Canelo's legacy. If Crawford, who is 36 yrs old and much smaller, beats Canelo, it will be historic. I still pick Canelo but who knows.
