  • Comments Thread For: Is Fury 'Damaged Goods' For the Usyk Rematch?

Does the rematch become a repeat or does it stoke revenge? With Saudi Arabia's Turki Alalshikh announcing Wednesday that Oleksandr Usyk-Tyson Fury II is set for Dec. 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the debate can officially begin over who wins and how.

He has been for a while, going back to Wilder III. What HW champion have we seen lately who routinely takes such heavy-ass knockdowns almost every fight? Even going back to his very first KDs against Pajkic and Cunningham – those weren't off-balance flash KDs; they damn near finished him. Then obviously the 4 from Wilder, Ngannou, and now Usyk – again none of them flash.

Hopefully they're giving him CT scans because he's taken a lot of brain-scrambling shots in the past 12yrs. He'll need all his faculties to bring up 8 kids in retirement, and that's when we know he starts going loopy.

If they fight again Usyk needs to avoid those long-range jabs & uppercuts. Slide to the side and punch to keep Fury off balance.

usyk is the type to finish fury

he isn’t one big shot and reload.

hes 20-30 punch combos. Machine gun. Fury gets hurt and gets battered to a slump in the corner

If Fury did not catch that one shot, he wins the fight. And he caught it because he was sitting on the ropes. If he stays in the middle and keeps distance, he wins. Simple as that.

Does it matter if he is or isn't damaged goods? He bullshi.tted for far too long to make the fight then got beat fair and square.

replace what I wrote with Spence......

Fury was far more competitive with Usyk than Joshua - yet some on here suggest Joshua is still a top tier contender after defeating the great Otto Wallin

Lets see how confident fury is in the build up.

I couldn't put it better. Yet some deluded folks believe that he's greatest ever. Sure he's the biggest but not in the top 10 of all time greats IMO.
