That is the thing with fighters, you never know when they will get old in the ring. But this is the time to make the fight, both undefeated and with good wins.

it is definitely my understanding that Artur will go right back to a fight with Dmitriy first.

We have to look at it with common sense.

Artur Beterbiev is old and injury prone. As good as he’s shown he is, he is also 40 years old and coming off an injury. It may actually be time for Beterbiev to hang them up now, with 20 fights. That’s it. I think his body is telling him to.

          It’s common sense.

The whole complaint about “oh so and so won’t get any credit because….” Can’t be applied here because it’s real common sense that Beterbiev is old and has battled injuries. It’s an actual valid issue, it’s not even an excuse. I mean he’s 40 years old. It’s a valid issue.

I keep waiting for him to get old but he looked really good his last fight. yeah callum isnt that great but really 175 isnt a strong division either outside the top 2 guys, bivol has already ran through everyone he can except bivol.

Bivol the next best thing suddenly ? Better question is: Does AB get full credit when he beats Bivol ? Or is AB then the guy that beat a Joe Smith Jr leftover ?

I don`t care about these excuses.

Many casuals still expect Beterbiev to KO Bivol...so..

So Beterbiev's is going to reach ATG status if he beats Bivol the way Bivol is getting hyped ?

Can’t use what a small group of casuals think, as the rule. Most people have him as the underdog, and so do oddsmakers, because they know he’s old and falling apart.

And it doesn’t matter what you care about. Beterbiev is 39 years old and injured. Those are two facts. He dropped out of the Callum Smith fight and postponed it due to an injury. He postponed his fight with Yarde because of an injury. He postponed his fight with Adam Deines due to an injury. He now postpones the Bivol fight because of an injury. The guy is old and falling apart.

This all happened within the last 3 years, coincidentally his late 30s, when athletes retire.

I’d pick a younger and fresher Beterbiev over Bivol. But he’s old and broken. He will give a good account of himself because he’s that good, but ultimately Bivol beats this version of Beterbiev.
