What is this "Champion in recess" ?? They should warn him and then strip him. None of this made-up title nonsense!

He is being stripped. Champion-in-Recess is just a designation which means he has the right to return to 147 and become the mandatory challenger to the current WBC welterweight champion.

Mario Barrios will either be elevated from WBC interim champion to full champion or he'll be ordered to face the top available contender for the vacant title. Crawford has the right to challenge for the title, but he is not WBC champion any longer.

Wbc are the worst for enforcing mandos. Good luck thinking this means anything

They tend to enforce them pretty quickly if someone wins a final eliminator, and with Saudi money backing this fight the greedy WBC will definitely want their share of the purse.
