  • The Saudi's are changing the game of boxing promotion.

I must say the Saudi's are a good addition to pro boxing, not as fighters, trainers, managers, cut men, or officials, but as promoters with deep pockets.

In the past promoters needed others to fund thier big fights. That ship has sailed as the Saudi's have oil money to put on great cards and the hotels needed to host the patrons.

Sorry no g@mbl^ng or prostitution is allowed, but fans can fly into the land and see great fights / match ups and eat great food. And short flight to Israel can be made for parton's that like to do things that are not allowed in Saudi Arabia

They’re not promoters. That’s why Bob, Eddie and Frank are over there. They’re the 3 promoters for this Saturday’s card.

They might be breaking through the American Fraudulent Hegenomy that started with Floyd's ascent to p4p no 1

Gervonta mighr even start fighting legit opposition with no rehydration clause

They are definitely having a huge impact on boxing atm. I do wonder how long they will light money on fire to promote a show that doesn't live up to things on the revenue end. I mean the Riyadh Season budget for ads seem to surpass most promoters budget for the whole card. Obviously they can light money on fire for decades but will they want to? Idk.

And I also wonder if this lasts past Turki, who allegedly had or has had some some life threatening illness. Is there someone who replaces him if he passes? Idk.

Whatever the long game of this ends up being as usual as a boxing fan I'm enjoying the good stuff however long it lasts.
