And Brook was definitely winning that fight in many eyes, til he got touched by a hard hitting fighter 2 weight classes above him. There's no way to spin it, it's a foolish risk. I don't care how good Crawford is, if I cared about him, I wouldn't let him do it.
I disagree, but I will be watching closely on August 3rd! Madrimov is no slouch! If Bud dominates him like he did Spence, I think Canelo vs. Crawford is a real Megafight, with Canelo favorite 55/45!

I mean that was his best performance I agree. I’d argue spence and GGG fights were still in prime tho as he was still young hadn’t lost a step at that stage in his career.

Forget Canelo, his hitlist should be:
          1. Madrimov (reigning WBA champion)
          2. Charlo (reigning Lineal/TBRB/Ring champion, WBA "champion-in-recess")
          3. Tszyu vs Ortiz winner (will be WBA "interim" champion)
          4. Spence vs Fundora winner (WBC champion), or if they duck him again, Murtazaliev (IBF champion)
          5. Whomever is left between Spence/Fundora, Murtazaliev, or Bohachuk (current WBC interim champion)
Mell hasn't fought at 154 in 2yrs & no showed vs Canelo 8mos ago. I wouldn't put him #2 on the Bud hitlist.

100% #1, since Madrimov is already booked for Aug, should be the Tim vs Vergil winner.

#2 should be Fundora if he beats Errol. Errol as an opp again makes as lil sense at 154 as it did at 147 til Errol does bigger things than a Fundora W.

Supposedly Murtazaliev vs Lubin is happening next so I'd make that winner #3.

That said I bet a Bud 154 hitlist its all for nothing cuz I expect Bud to find himself vs Canelo if he gets by Madrimov since it appears thats a fight Turki wants to see most.

I doubt Fundora is scared. Sh^t Bud was booked for Aug before Fundora was cleared to train again. Idk why Fundora should wait around til Bud fights. He should be making a fight.

And lets be honest with the money Turki is throwing around we are getting all kinds of fights being made cuz even if you are scared, out of shape, injured, past prime or matched with someone outside your division cuz the money is so nice. So if Turki wanted Bud vs Fundora we'd be getting Bud vs Fundora. Turki wanted Bud vs Madrimov tho.

Charlo has a mandatory shot at the Madrimov/Crawford winner in hand, and he's the reigning lineal/TBRB/Ring champion. Unless he can't make 154 anymore, he should be the primary target. Crawford cares about lineal championships more than anything else and if he becomes lineal in a fourth division he'll join Floyd and Manny as the only three guys in history to do it.

I don't think Canelo will fight Crawford. It's a lose/lose situation for him and he can make just as much money fighting anybody else. If he beats Crawford he'll get zero credit since he came from 2 weight classes down; if Crawford beats Canelo, that's the end of Canelo as a top tier fighter. All risk, no reward.

Will he call it in tho? I'm not confident he will. We don't even know if he can make 154 anymore.

Canelo isn't in it for credit anymore or he'd be fighting Benavidez. Hes in it for $$$ more than hes ever been & Turki appears to want the Canelo vs Bud fight more than any other. And Turki will pay Canelo. If this 5 vs 5, USA vs Mexico sh^t happens I'd say its like 80% Bud vs Canelo is the main event.

Canelo seems to want Berlanga next. And the IBF has called his mandatory too. I dunno man, I just don't see it. I see Crawford cleaning out 154 and then maybe moving up to take out Janibek.

Well, certainly before GGG broke his orbital in the fight before Errol broke the other one lol.

Even more certainly before he was horrifically attacked to the leg with a machete right after he beat Shawn Porter.

On one hand, i would too if i could. On the other hand, why is anyone able to? It's a farce, but money always talks.
