Though he won convincingly, the fight was still exciting and close ..... In a fight as close as this, IMO, you need to win at least twice against your opponent ....

I didn't see this fight being as "close" as the judges, or many of the Pac apologists. I think we saw Pac's best on Saturday against Morales' best and the rematch would look very much the same. Pac would again need to come out fast, as everyone predicted he would, and Erik would get caught or go down, as everybody thought he might, but then we'd see Erik adjust and take it the distance while boxing Pac's ass off.

In the rematch, Erik would simply need to box a bit more to practically gaurantee the win.

It was an easy fight to call. Skill levels are different,
Manny is a 1 dimmensional warrior. When facing a good counterpuncher, he is french toast.

i really can't believe there is a post about gloves. manny was beat by a bigger, more experienced and more technically sound fighter with an iron chin. that's it. with the type of war they had it doesn't matter what gloves you have. trust me...i've used (and been hit with) all kinds...and they all hurt...lol

It's true that the gloves lost the fight for PacMan.

Morales' gloves that is. Erik's gloves wouldn't stop hitting Pac in the face all night long.

Now that is a glove problem.

hahaha that is great stuff. i agree. morales took pac out of his game. and when pak tried to get it back and saw that he couldn't hurt morales and got hit in the process it broke him down. i give pac all hte respect in the world and i can gladly say that we will be seeing plenty more of him.
