  • Fury exposed an uppercut weakness in Usyk.

Usyk got rammed by uppercuts round 4-7 and had no answer. It's hard to know what happened without being in the minds of the fighters, but Fury just broke down later in the fight. It was an odd turn of events.

But it follows the belleuw pattern does it not?

What do you mean he “had no answer?”

him NOT getting hit with them from round 8-12 says he had an answer

Well the uppercut's risky, you've got to be **** on with it - which Fury was several times and those were some of his best moments - but Usyk is very smart in there, he's not going to keep walking into the same shot without making adjustments. He's also hard to time because he's constantly feinting and threatening with his in-and-out movement, like Lomachenko.

I felt Usyk's biggest mistake in rounds 4-7 was that he abandoned finesse somewhat and fell into a rut of just marching Fury down. He was too eager to stay on him and Fury started taking advantage by lining up some good shots and timing him coming in. Imo Usyk's much better when he's bouncing in and out, drawing the lead, mixing it up and forcing Fury to think.

Joshua has the best uppercuts at heavyweight, and didn't do squat against usyk. Fury sparked Whyte with an uppercut, still didn't come close to dropping usyk or stopping the smaller older man. "but Fury just broke down later in the fight.". No my friend, USYK broke him down, starting with his nose in the 8th.

I think it was because Usyk punched him a lot and punched him really hard and it hurt Fury and Fury got knocked into looney tunes world in the 9th round. I think that might be why but it's hard to know as it was an odd turn of events.

He exposed it as much as bellew did.. wining a few rounds and winning a fight against usyk is a very different thing. Fury is an exceptional fighter, that’s why he managed to win 4 rounds and survive 12 with Usyk.

Oh common. Fury is great. He should make it close with usyk. Usyk has lots of flaws as a fighter.

Furys punches did far more damage to usyk than Joshuas did. Which just goes to show how neutered Joshuas confidence was ever since the Ruiz debacle

Everyone finds a flaw against Usyk but no-one actually manages to see it through.

Usyk keeps finding flaws in others and sees it through.

That's elite level boxing for you. Usyk adjusts better than anyone.
