And it's one of the most important fights in recent times stopping it because he's reeling a bit when he's known for his powers of recovery is a crazy thing to be advocating especially in a fight of this magnitude.

"An official knockdown is ruled in boxing when a fighter is punched and:

    a) a part of his/her body other than the feet touch the canvas (such as his butt or glove)
    b) when a fighter is being held up by the ropes (i.e. the fighter would have fallen had the ropes not been there)
    c) when a fighter is hanging on, through or over the ropes and
    d) cannot protect himself and, for whatever reason, is lodged on a position where he can't fall

A slip or fall to the canvas by a boxer, resulting in any of the above conditions, is not a knockdown."
The ropes held Fury up at least 3 times in that round. Are we counting all 3 as knockdowns? 10-6 round? I'm ok with the way it played out, but it did kind of look like a standing 8 count.

      Nice writing.

Fury deserved the benefit of the doubt but it didn't matter. The right guy won and deservedly so.

He’s a 35 year old man that go clobbered over and over again to the point he came tumbling to the corner what saved him was the ref being between him and Usyk and Usyk being called off from doing even more damage in that sequence. Nah that’s how we get robbed of great fights when fights are stopped too early this fight wasn’t and it showed why. If u like early stops u should try watching women’s MMA or something. This is HW prize fighting they get paid a lot of money they don’t need to be “saved” by anyone

The difference in the fight was breaking Fury's nose in the first & again in the 7th or 8th when Fury cleared his nose on Usyk in the clinch. Fury faded after that.
Like many i had Fury 4-2 up after 6.
Congratulations to Usyk & all true fans of boxing having a legacy fighter undespute putting these money first plonkas in theyre place.

Funny how that worked out. Now watch boxing ruin it all. I'll be 79 by the next undesputed lol.

It was the first undisputed HW fight in 25 years so it's pretty much obvious why he didn't stop it like a meh friday night fight between 2 prospects.

Ref did a great job by the Book and since Fury finished the fight it shows that the ref was right by letting the show going on.

OK. Now that the talented big man has lost to the talented little man, how does that affect the hypothesis of the talented big man belonging to the category of all-time greats?

If that's the case and you truly believe that, you should be accusing the ref of corruption in favour of Usyk for not giving Fury a count earlier then he did and allowing Usyk to beat on a technically "downed opponent" who can't defend himself?

What a fight ...! I'm not one for draws ,especially when they are the Fury v Wilder 1 type one's but this was razor thin and it's a pity there had to be a loser. IF they have ANYTHING left the rematch should truly be as magnificent , so roll on oct !! Under 'normal' circumstances and at their late career stages I would expect one or both to retire but a few months rest and I'm sure these two modern greats will be ready to rumble again ( especially for $60m!).They are head and shoulders above the pack and have us all fully zoomed in on the only heavyweight fight that matters Usyk V Fury 2 ! ....could there be a trilogy, I think so !

Where are all those "boxing experts, analysts..." now?!
"Good big man vs good little man", blah, blah, blah.
Have you ever heard of a GOOD big man vs a GREAT little man? Oh, uh, ah...

Now you know why mofo wanted no part of Usyk.
Ducking should be the top criterion when ranking fighters.
