Nah, I think people really need to rewatch that fight. Fury had three inarguable rounds he won. Man was thrown punches trying to set up the main punch but not hitting much. I think the announcers claiming fury swept the middle rounds has a lot of folks trying to justify a close fight. It wasn’t that close. Man won three clear rounds, I’d argue any of the other rounds with anyone up for it.

Congratulations to Usyk, a well deserved victory.
But his comment that he was in training for 9 months and missed his daughter's birth makes you wonder if he also missed the making of his daughter.

Walked the talk, kept his head in the game and his eyes on the prize to be rewarded with glory.

Optically, without the benefit of rewatching, it was hard to separate them until the knockdown. I could make a case for Usyk or Fury shading a bunch of rounds. But I find it hard to see Fury taking eight rounds to survive the knockdown and still win.

and the problem is, when a fighter does the real damage, it’s hard to forget that, even on a rewatch. At round 8, it looked like Usyk was going to get mugged by the bigger man. He deserves huge credit for bashing Fury around.
