Loma is great but I don't think he's in the conversation as ATG along the likes of Manny or Floyd. He's won titles but never beat any elite or great fighters just fighters that held belts who had previously been KOd. Could argue his best win was against a smaller Rigo and an unproven GR JR. Shakur is nothing like Loma. Loma actually throws punches in addition to his great defense, and he's always on the front foot applying pressure. Shakur potshots and defends, and if he's up against someone dangerous, he's defense first on the back foot.

I REALLY wish Loma fought Shakur. He would ICE Shakur easily. Nobody outboxes Loma unless you can hit harder than he does. Shakur doesn’t fit that bill.

I believe he's the best fighter I've ever seen with my own eyes, and if he had just stayed at a proper weight he would never even sniff a loss. We'll never know though, b/c he moved up and chased more glory. The ONLY knock on him IMO, is that he gave to much respect to Teo's power early (perhaps he knew he could get starched early, as Teo is a fierce mofo) and taking off the last round vs. Haney. But other than that, I think with his skill set he could do a Money May all day and barely lose a round, but instead he chooses to go in for the kill constantly. I have crazy respect for that dude, he's magical to watch. I would've loved to see him beat down Mikey back in the day.
