Comments Thread For: Promoter Confident in a Fabio Wardley-Frazer Clarke Rematch in 2024

Boxxer promoter Ben Shalom hopes the pace-setters for the heavyweight fight of the year will meet again before the end of 2024. In March, British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Frazer Clarke and Fabio Wardley shared 12 memorable rounds at the O2 in London and, in the end, could not be separated by the judges. Clarke had been down, Wardley had been rocked, and the latter's nose had been broken.

Make it happen. That first fight was dogfight with a little bit of everything in it. Feel both guys should get a tune-up tho just to ease up a bit after that grueling war they just had before going back at it. Having another possible war after what they went through in their first encounter might not be great for either guy in the long run. Regardless, these two gotta see each other again at some point.

I'd like to see either against maybe Ortiz, Ajagba or the winner or loser of Ruiz vs Miller, Wilder vs Zhang, Dubois vs Hrgovic or Makhmudov vs Rovcanin. There are lots of decent names out there for both guys if they didn't want to rematch next.

cant see the rematch being anywhere near the intensity of the first fight tbh, but I'd still like to see it happen and would again be rooting for Wardley.
