  • How would Nikolai Valuev fair against today's heavyweights?

Standing at 7'2" feet tall and weighing at 149kg (328 lbs), how would the biggest heavyweight in history fair in today's heavyweight division filled other giants like Wilder, Fury, Zhang, and Joshua?

He had a record of 50 wins, 2 Losses, 1 no contest. 34 of his wins were via knockout.

You might not be wrong considering AJ can likely clip him often, though it seems difficult to imagine cracking that chin. He was never stopped even when near retirement when he had serious health problems. Outboxed by David Haye who ended up with a broken hand after the fight.

Haye had Valuev on ***** street with the first real power shot he let go in the 12th prior to that Haye was boxing very conservativey because of the size difference he did not want to tire and end up slowing down and getting clinched.

Haye probably has as much power on his full extension right hand as Joshua has in his straight right. Joshua has harder jab, harder left hook etc.

Anyway valuev would do real bad today, he wouldn't be as massively oversized vs AJ, Fury, Zhang etc, he's just so slow.

Even someone like Andy Ruiz would knock Zhang out, Parker would school him.

Valuev bread and butter was horrid clinch fests vs the B Level guys of the klitschko era like a past prime John Ruiz, Ruslan Chagaev and Co, those guys were a lot worse than the top 10 we have today.

If this era was as poor as the klitschko era, we would still be recycling Kubrat Pulev and Chris Arreola in world title fights.

Maybe the worst hwt to ever hold a belt. Can’t see him beating anyone in today’s top 10.
