I mean never say never, anything can happen. Goodman is quite bigger than Inoue and is a top contender.

Just seems unlikely after what Naoya has proven during his career while Sam seems to be stepping up in competition. Even at a size disadvantage, he has demolished all the 122 pounders so far with both power and skill.

He won’t need much of a chin vs Goodman, he doesn’t have much power. He will box, he may frustrate Inoue a little bit with his movement but with little power, Inoue will happily just chase him around the ring and eventually KO him.

I have a lot of respect for Sam Goodman getting in the ring and asking for a fight directly to Inoue’s face though. Rather than just doing interviews talking about it. Go up to the man and call him out in the ring on live tv and in front of all his fans. But he was firm and respectful about it too. The perfect call out.

Most deserving guy at 122. Ranked #3 amongst most bodies.

Inoue saw him in the ring and probably wondered who he was and how did this drunk guy get past security.

Hes definitely a cat worth following.

Idk that its about him hurting Monster so much as can he out slick & out volume Monster while being able to take Monster's power.

If he can't handle the power I think this fight could go south for him real quick. And I'm guessing thats what most will be predicting knowing Sam or not.

If he can handle the power & show Monster angles & a pace he rarely sees in his opps I think Sam could surprise some fans.

Whatever happens its a big ask for anyone to beat Monster & while I favor Monster to win I think Sam is one of the best challengers to fight at 122 if not the #1 challenger & I dig seeing mfers get their opportunity to prove fans wrong or right. If you aren't trying to find your ceiling in boxing you might as well retire.

What's the roadmap for Inoue here? Goodman and then maybe MJ or Casimero to end the year or early 2025 and then up to Featherweight seems to be it.

I wish Inoue would fight here in the states (LA or Vegas). I'm really trying to see him in person. Probably never going to happen. That Japan crowd/money too good.

Initially my guess was MJ at Saudi in September followed by Goodman at the end of the year, but with Goodman coming first I'm not fully sure on MJ's timing because I thought he was tailor made for Saudi opponent given his background.

Also I thought Inoue/Ohashi invited Goodman but kinda surprised he had got his own tickets and traded around to get near the ringside. Good for him to use that chance perfectly to appeal himself.
