I was wondering when some douchebag would come along and try to hate on his win...and here you are. Morales could hang with anyone at 130 and 135, and he proved that he could eat leather from one of the quickest, hardest punching fighters in the world. Corrales' slow ass would get his ears boxed off. It's funny that you think PAcquiao isnt a "real" fighter but Corrales is.

Oddly enough, many, many people said that he couldnt beat pac either. I even read that Manny was going to knock his head off, retire him, ko him in less that 2, etc..so I wouldnt bank on him not being able to handle Corrales or anyone else.

Yep, less than 15% of the people HBO polled on their website thought Morales would get a decision win. Over 40% expected a Pacman win by KO. I was one of the 15%, but I want to say this, also:

I don't think Morales would be able to beat Corrales, not after watching Chico fight the last couple of times. He's far smarter in the ring than he was just a couple of years ago.....switching trainers make the differnce, no doubt. I'd actually give him a better chance against Mayweather (Erik, I mean) than Corrales. Mayweather doesn't have nearly Chico's power, and he'd be easier for Erik to reach. Chico has turned into a very dangerous fighter.

This sounds like an amazing fight and I'm sad I had to miss it. I am glad that I read the play by play and can get the first hand accounts from everyone here though.

I've said it a million times...Morales has THE best chin 135 on down. It also sounds like he could have won by a bit more if he tried a little harder down the stretch. Damn I can't wait for next Sat.

I wont go so far as to say Erik can and would beat Chico, but I damn sure will not say he cant! Other than amazing power (the same thing Manny had to offer) what does Chico bring? Not a whole hell of alot, and I dont think Erik would get ko'ed by him either. It could go the same way it did with Manny..him not getting knocked out, and the outpointing Corrales. It could happen...I just wont automatically count him out, thats all.
