Thats excatly how I had it. Losing by 1 round is a pretty clear sign that Manny could beat Morales on another night. The problem is that both guys have such rabbid fan bases that they say and do things that are really really ******. Some people here are saying Morales dominated the fight and that it wasn't even close. Excuse me? How is winning by 1 round a domination? Yes, Morales had his hand raised at the end of the night but how is winning by one round on all 3 cards a domination?

I would like to see a re-match, but enough with the weight class jumping. All 3 of them need to stay put for awhile. Fight some other guys and give things a chance to become fresh for the fans. Then lets see them go at it again. I would love that.

No, a win by 2 pts (not one round). Sure, that may make it seem like Manny can beat Erik in a rematch, but youre not taking into consideration that Erik will be fighting more than likely the very same way, and he did look far superior in skills all during the fight. I'm not taking anything away from Pac..far from it if you've seen any of my posts on this issue; he impressed the hell out of me by taking all those punches..which brings to light all the punches that Erik took too...punches that have ko'ed other (lesser?? Yes, meaning Barrera) fighters.
I may not agree with Abdiel on Manny being done, not by a long shot. Losing one fight to a world class, talented as hell fighter does not make a fighter "done"..however, I do agree with him on Erik let that fight be much closer than it should have been by insisting on going toe to toe with Manny more than he had to. He was clearly out to impress the fans, and he did a unbelievable job of that too! Am I complaining? HELL no! He can take it..thats evident. But, if he had wanted to fight smarter and resist that part of him that just loves to slug, the fight wouldnt have been as close as it was, in my opinion. I'd love to see a rematch cause I think Manny deserves it (I'm not hating him for not knocking Morales out..hell, nobody ever has, and with only one man ever beating him, there is NO shame in losing to Erik, especially when you put up the fight he did!) and I think any time those particualr two fighters are put in the ring there is gonna be a great fight!
But I wont hold it against Erik if he decides that a rematch isnt the best thing for him, career wise.

Morales has proved it, he can now move up in weight..and do his thing, i dont think he has anything to prove at 130.
as for pacqiao he has to hang around and beat barrera again (which i dont see happening, barrera will come out the winner if they fight again)...and fight marquez and knock him...out

The only fantastic achievement of Morales in that fight was he kept his ass from touching the canvass.

The only fault of Pacman in that fight was he didn't make Erik sit on his ass..

Man, how can you completely undermine and downplay everything that Erik did?!? That was the ONLY fantastic thing he did? Bull****! And do you not realize that that comment is an insult to Manny..not just Erik? If that was ALL he did, then Manny should have beat him on pt's, dont you think? I got to watch it on a pretty good stream, at the very last minute.

I had the fight a draw. Nights like that do the sport a world of good, kind of rekindles your love for it.

I was so worried about Morales in that last round. An awesome close to a great show.

Both fighters are elevated in my opinion.

Oddly enough, many, many people said that he couldnt beat pac either. I even read that Manny was going to knock his head off, retire him, ko him in less that 2, etc..so I wouldnt bank on him not being able to handle Corrales or anyone else.

Anyone who thinks Morales will beat Corrales is out of it. Same for Mayweather. Gatti weill come in at close to 160 vs Mayweather and still will be a huge underdog. Morales would get thrashed by Corrales or Mayweather. They are both too big, strong, and good for him.

erik won the fight more than by 1 rd. it wasnt THAT close. and even if it was erik literally handed the last rd to him on a plate. i give pac all the credit in the world for showing all that heart but he got schooled. i mean watch it again.. doesnt it look like rocky IV the way he kept going in circles in the ring from the punches?? erik showed us that he is a champion tonight.
