Only in modern times do boxing fans disrespect a boxer who wants all the action, and praise the boxer who is clearly not willing to fight the same guy. Canelo.declares himself the best Mexican, while obviously avoiding David Benavidez for years, lile a dog with a yellow streak going down his back. He has no shame, he's scared of the skill, speed, power, work rate and variety of attack. He knows boxing and he knows David will not only beat him, but hurt him in front of the whole world. Then fans would know why he was avoiding him for so long. When a guy is that eager to fight you, and publicly challenges you for years, and you're just as eager to avoid him, where's the Mexican pride at? When guys challened Canelo in the past, he usually said he wanted to shut them up. But he made GGG wait for about 6 years b4 he'd fight him. Tried to age GGG out. He has a worse fear of David.
