Cool article. We know that Canelo has the big fight experience and will not "mess up". It will be interesting to see if Munguia can maintain the ABSOLUTE focus needed to not mess up and if he falters, will be be able to regroup.
I believe it is fact that he has to fight a nearly perfect fight.

All sounds good, but Canelo is crafty. Munguia liks to come forward. Canelo likes to counter. It's my view that Canelo will end up doing the countering, not Munguia.

Freddie is known for coaching offence extremely well, perhaps not defence (uk spelling), that well.

That's the general impression anyway, from us who don't have insider info of how he trains his fighters.

Not sure Munguia’s style will be an impediment or a benefit. He’s always been happy to take a punch or two to land one of his own and banks on being able to eventually outland and outlast his opponents due to his size youth chin and engine. Good powers of recovery too.

Dangerous game to play against a Canelo of say 3 or 4 years ago. Not so sure now. This fight will hinge entirely on what Canelo has left in the tank and his will to win. Recent fights definitely suggest he’s on the decline. The question is how much. You could see him give up against Bivol.

Fully expect Munguia to go on his bike and use his range and jabs to let Canelo burn himself out then pile on the pressure in the second half of the fight. If nothing else Roach is a good tactician. He spotted that flaw in Hatton that Pacquiao exploited to devastating effect. Canelo due to age can only fight one way now and has become very reliant on single shots and doesn’t have the stamina to put together combinations for 12 rounds like he used to.

I think it’ll be a close fight and expect it to go the distance.
