Everybody is focusing on Tszyu cut. Fundora fought the whole fight with a broken nose. It seems to me that the affects of a broken nose, the pain of being punched on it and having to breath through your mouth the entire fight would have more of an effect on a fighter than blood getting into one eyes. Fundora needs his props.Comment

"after a stray Fundora elbow opened a bloody gash on Tszyu’s head"
"after charging dome-first into Fundora's elbow, a bloody gash opened on Tszyu’s head"
Fixed it for you.Comment

One means you are fighting with restrictions to your breathing, the other restrictions to your vision. Obviously at the extreme end, you need to be able to breathe or you can't fight, but we know that wasn't the case with Fundora. However bad it was -- and I've no doubt it was pretty bad -- we know for a fact that he could breathe enough to fight fairly well to the end. Tszyu has said he really couldn't see much of anything and I see no reason to doubt that. It seems very plausible given blood was pouring from the cut as soon as he stood up from his stool each round and was obviously going in his eyes. Not being able to see seems like a mighty hinderance.Everybody is focusing on Tszyu cut. Fundora fought the whole fight with a broken nose. Good article. Interesting to hear Stitch's views being expressed, which all make good sense to me.Comment

As you've stated, Fundora had a broken nose, he could breathe to fight fairly well to the end. Although the blood was a hinderance to Tszyu, he wasn't completely blind and also fought fairly well until the end. Having to breathe through your mouth surely affects your endurance. They both fought with hinderances, but in my mind, it's more difficult to fight with the pain of getting punched on a broken nose and difficulty breathing than blood in my eye. Just my opinion, doesn't mean I'm right.
