Many people act like Stitch can do no wrong.

He made his dismissal from UFC very public.

If anything, he hurt future UFC's sales and hence all future fighters' and cutmen's salaries.

They both fought with hinderances, but in my mind, it's more difficult to fight with the pain of getting punched on a broken nose and difficulty breathing than blood in my eye. Just my opinion, doesn't mean I'm right.
Yeah, I hear you. We don't have to agree, but I think we both acknowledge each fighter had their own strife to deal with.

I don’t understand what the debate is about. The corner is allowed to call the doctor and if he says the fight should be stopped the fight should be stopped. His point is that the corner failed to call the doc and that this was a mistake.

Assuming the doc stops the fight the outcome is then in part determined if the injury was the result of an accident or not.

Tszyu’s injury was as the result of an accident. IF the doc had stopped the fight then he’d have won. Fundora’s injury was a result of a punch. If the fight had been stopped due to that injury he’d have lost. All else is pointless speculation.

For what it’s worth I see Tszyu’s injury as far more serious in terms of it affecting his ability to fight. It was a lot of blood and at this level even seeing a punch a fraction late is a massive issue. I think he did an amazing job against a fighter of Fundora’s level and size to even finish the fight.

Yes Fundora’s injury didn’t make life easy, but I’ve never seen anyone in a boxing fight asphyxiate from a broken nose. Yes it makes it difficult to breath, yea that will affect stamina and reduce punch output etc etc. Doesn’t stop him seeing the punches coming or affect his ability to get out of the way of them. And to those suggesting Tszyu got hit because he failed to move his head, sorry you’re just plain flat out wrong. Go watch his previous fights. He didn’t move his head because he saw the punches too late to react because he was trying to fight through a wall of blood.
